A yummy nut-free satay-alternative, which compliments Asian dishes such as rice paper rolls or can be used as a healthy dip.
1.5 cup sunflower seeds, dry roasted
1 tbsp Tamari or Soy sauce
1 tbsp Olive oil
2 tsp Sweet Paparika
2 tsp Turmeric
1 tbsp Apricot jam
2 cloves Garlic
½ Lemon juice
Dry roasted the sunflower seeds until golden brown (try not to burn them). Once cooked, place them in a bowl and add the other ingredients (excluding the water).
Add more/less of ingredients to adapt the flavour to your taste. Mix the ingredients with a spoon, then with a bar mix, blend them into a pulp,slowing adding the water to create a more creamy mixture or until the desired consistency is achieved.Serve and enjoy!
